Microblading Brows

What it is

A traditional permanent makeup technique that uses a handheld blade to make fine, shallow cuts in the skin and deposit pigment into the created strokes, producing the appearance of eyebrow hairs.

How it works

The strokes are manually created by dragging a blade across the skin, so they tend to have a more linear and defined appearance rather than the softer, flowing movement of natural brow hairs.

The result

Defined individual strokes that can create the appearance of fuller brows while allowing the client’s natural brow hairs to remain visible.

Best for

Clients who specifically prefer the traditional microblading effect and have suitable skin conditions for the technique.

Skin suitability

Microblading is generally more suitable for normal to dry skin. It is not usually recommended for oily skin, as excess oil can affect the clarity and retention of the strokes.

A traditional technique

Microblading is an earlier generation of hair-stroke PMU. Modern machine hairstroke techniques have evolved from this concept, allowing softer, more natural-looking strokes with greater control.

Longevity
